I'm an 80 years old Norwegian living in San Carlos, Negros since 1994 after the first five years as a pensioner and donkey owner in Portugal. In my younger years I worked with the press and information.
Lolo Puti means white grandfather. I like to be around people and have many friends. Very fond of children and animals and try to help when I see it's needed.
I am embarrassed about not being able to speak the local language, but most people speak good English, and then there will be no pressure to learn a new language at my age. Totally different in the small fishing town of Ericeira in Portugal. There I had to be taught the language to make good contact with people. Decided to live here the rest of my life.
