Needed a hair cut today, and went to my regular barber, a local bayot(gay), sometimes transvestite, in Toledo City. Norwegians, or Scandinavians, will have a laugh when they see the sign from outside.

"Frisørsalong" means hair dresser in English. The owner obviously is a Norwegian, although I don't know the person. It's right above Jollibee in the Toledo Arcade.

I am very happy with the service. He is very skilled, effective and the price is only 50 peso. Some would say they can get it even cheaper, but this place has air con and I don't like sweating when having a hair cut. I always tip 20 extra.

The view is also pretty good. To the left is the puclic market. This is kind of the city center in Toledo.

Sliding a little left you see the pier, where the ferry takes you to San Carlos on Negros.

The second floor has a lot of empty stalls. Downstairs it's pretty full, with Jollibee, appliance store, Globe and others, but second floor is quite empty. The new malls will not help filling these, I am afraid. Downstairs, besides Jollibee, is an empty space where Pizzas and Buns were before. Could be a nice location for a restaurant, but the price is beyond reason, they want 50 K and that's way overpriced.
OK, just a little update on Toledo City!
