The location is not bad at all. Quiet area, although only 5 minutes to Ayala in a car - but you could also walk. Close to the much more expensive Sarrosa, where I used to live.
I know an American guy who has been staying here for a few years. It's not the Ritz, but it has a certain charm for some people. They have a carenderia where you can buy cheap food, a pool table that has seen better days, a piano I've heard someone played and a peacuful atmosphere.
Check it out if you think you could stay there. The owners seemed quite friendly.
